Night City Wipeout

An obstacle race over the sea off Vespucci Beach. Run, jump and dodge your way to the finish platform. If you fall in the water, you go back to your last checkpoint.

How to join

  • Find the Night City Wipeout host (chequered flag blip) on Vespucci Beach and press E.
  • Join the next race: costs $250. A race needs 2 to 12 racers. When 2 are queued, a 45 second countdown starts, so more people can join. When 12 are queued, it starts at once.
  • Stay on the beach until your race starts. If you walk off, you're left in the queue for the next one.
  • Practice run: free and solo. There's no pot, but your time still counts for best times.

The course

  1. Start platform: 5-4-3-2-1-GO.
  2. The Sweeper: a spinning arm at ankle height. Jump it or get knocked into the sea.
  3. Big balls: jump from ball to ball.
  4. Hammer walk: a narrow walkway with three swinging pendulum hammers.
  5. The Spinner: a low sweeper and a high sweeper turning opposite ways.
  6. Finish platform.

There are four checkpoints, and the last one is the finish. The gold ring shows the next checkpoint. You can't get hurt on the course: knocks and falls just cost you time.

Prizes

  • All entry fees go into the pot. 1st gets 60%, 2nd 25% and 3rd 15%. If fewer than three racers finish, the finishers split the pot.
  • When the first racer finishes, everyone else has 60 seconds left. A race lasts 5 minutes at most.
  • If nobody finishes, everyone still on the course gets their fee back.
  • If you leave a race, your fee stays in the pot.
  • The top 3 stand on the podium. Best times are saved, and the host shows the Top 10.

Commands

  • /wipeoutleave: leave the race or the queue. Leaving the queue gives your fee back.
  • /wipeoutrespawn: go back to your last checkpoint if you get stuck.
  • /wipeouttop: best times.

Staff

  • /wipeoutplace lobby: move the beach host to you.
  • /wipeoutplace origin: the course starts under you and runs the way you face, at sea level. Add here to use your own height instead. Only works when no race is running.
  • /wipeoutcancel: cancels every race and refunds the queue and racers.
  • Races run in routing buckets 88000-88999.
