NCRP NIGHT CITY RP

Night City Wiki

Guides for every part of life in the city.

Car Radio

Every car in Night City can tune in to the city's own radio stations:

  • NC Hip-Hop (96.4 FM)
  • NC Rock (101.9 FM)
  • NC Country (88.7 FM)

The stations are live: everyone tuned to the same station hears the same song at the same moment, so you and your passengers (and the car next to you at the lights) are always in sync.

How it works

  • Get in a vehicle and hold the radio key (default , comma) to open the station picker.
  • Hold, point at a station with the mouse and let go of the key to switch to it.
  • Or just tap the key (or type /carradio): the picker stays open, click a station, Esc to close.
  • Pick Off in the middle to switch the radio off.
  • The volume slider at the bottom is yours alone and is remembered.
  • The driver and the front passenger can change the station. Everyone in the car hears it.
  • The radio only plays while the engine is running. Bicycles have no radio.
  • The game's own radio is switched off while a Night City station is playing.
  • A small card at the top of the screen shows the station and the song whenever it changes.

If a station has no songs yet you will hear a short chime and see "No tracks yet".

You can change the key in GTA Settings > Key Bindings > FiveM.

Staff

Music is original or licensed music only. Never add a song you don't have the rights to stream. The server ships with no music.

  • /radioadd <station> <url or file> <title> adds a track. Stations: hiphop, rock, country.
  • A URL must be a direct https:// link to an audio file (.ogg, .mp3, .wav, .m4a, .webm, .opus). Live streams are refused.
  • Or put a file in ncrp-carradio/html/music/<station>/, restart the resource, then use just the file name, e.g. /radioadd rock track01.ogg Night Drive.
  • Your game loads the track first to check it works and to read its length.
  • /radiolist [station] shows every track with its id.
  • /radioremove <id> removes a track.
  • /radioskip <station> skips to the next track.
  • /radioduration <id> <seconds> fixes a track's length if it was read wrong.

A track that players can't load (dead link, missing file) is skipped automatically.
