NCRP NIGHT CITY RP

Night City Wiki

Guides for every part of life in the city.

Lifeguard

Keep Vespucci and Del Perro beaches safe. Take a lifeguard tower, watch the water and answer every call that pops up around it.

How to start

  • Go to the Night City Beach Patrol pin (the lifeguard HQ on Del Perro beach) and press E on Dana Reyes, the Beach Chief.
  • Pick Start shift. You get the lifeguard SUV in the bay and put on your work clothes (they stay on until you clock out).
  • Want company? Pick Make a crew and invite people standing with you (up to 6). They press Y to join.
  • Open the Operations board and pick your tower (6 towers along the beach). Calls only happen around your crew's tower, and only while someone from the crew is near it.

The tower

Press E at your tower for:

  • Watch the water - you raise your binoculars. While you are on lookout, calls near the tower show on the map the moment they happen (120 m out, 220 m with Binoculars in your pockets), calls come a bit faster, and you earn a Rescue Point for every call you spot early. Press X to stop.
  • Take a rescue jetski - launched at the water's edge (waypoint set). Fastest way to reach swimmers far out.
  • Take the lifeguard ATV - from the Lifeguard tier on, for getting along the sand quickly.
  • Return them here when you are done. Everything you take is removed when the shift ends.

Without a lookout, calls still come but show on the map 20-35 seconds later.

The calls

CallWhat to doPay
Drowning swimmerSwim or jetski out, E Grab the swimmer, tow them to the sand, E to lay them down, then E Give CPR (progress + 2 skill checks). Fail the CPR and EMS takes over (less pay). Too slow and they go under (missed).5 credits (3 if EMS takes over)

Injured beachgoerE Give first aid.3 credits
Heatstroke / jellyfish stingE Give water - uses a bottle from your shift kit (4 bottles). Kit empty? A Bottle of Water from your pockets works too. Restock with the Beach Chief.2 credits
Lost kidTalk to the worried parent, search the yellow circle on the map, E on the kid so they follow you, walk them back and E Reunite them.4 credits
Swimmer past the buoysGet close (the jetski works) and E Warn them - they swim back in.2 credits
Glass on the beachE Warn them and take the bottle.2 credits
Shark sighting (Senior Lifeguard+)Swimmers near the shore and a shark out deeper. E Whistle near swimmers to send them to the sand (6 m, or 14 m with a Lifeguard Whistle). Clear everyone.4 + 1 per swimmer

Pay is per call, straight to your bank. The crew shares each call (people who did nothing this shift get no cut).

Shift target and pay

  • Shift target: 35 credits solo (+60% for every extra crew member). Everything past the target pays overtime x1.5.
  • Hit the target and press Finish shift & get paid at the Beach Chief for a $150 completion bonus each ($100 less if the SUV is not back at the HQ).
  • A steady solo Junior Lifeguard makes about $900 an hour. Career tiers add up to +30%.

  • Binoculars - tower lookout spots calls up to 220 m out

Tips

  • Put one crew member on the tower and the rest on the sand / jetski - calls get spotted early and handled fast.
  • Drowning swimmers don't wait: grab the jetski first, tow them in behind it.
  • Restock your shift kit before you run out - heatstroke calls are quick money.

Commands

  • /lifeguardboard - open the Operations board while on shift (a key can be bound in Settings).

Staff

  • /lifeguardplace <chief|bay|tower1..tower6> - move the Beach Chief, the SUV bay or a tower to where you stand. Stand ON the real tower platform for towers (a moved tower keeps your exact height). Calls search for water/sand around the tower automatically.

  • /lifeguardlevel <id|citizenid> <level>, /lifeguardpoints <id|citizenid> <+/-n>, /lifeguardcrews, /lifeguardendshift <crewId>.
