Gangs & Turf
What a gang gets from the drug trade - padlocked weed tables, charging outsiders, upgrades and owning the corners.
Anyone can grow, roll and sell weed. A gang can control it: lock down the weed tables everyone needs, charge outsiders to use them, and hear about every dealer working its streets.
Before you begin
- Membership in a gang. Gangs are set up through staff - ask them if your crew wants to become an official gang.
- At least two members to claim a table.
- A
Padlock from the hardware store.
Claiming a weed table
- A member presses E on a free weed table and picks Claim it for (your gang). Finding tables is covered in Processing Weed.
- Hold the area: at least two members must stay close, alive, for several minutes, with no rival gang members nearby. You get progress messages.
- If you drop below two or a rival walks in, the claim stops. Another gang already claiming it must be pushed out first.
- At "Area held - put a padlock on the weed table now", you have a few minutes to pick Put a padlock on it with a
Padlock.
Use it or lose it. If nobody from the gang uses the table for a few days, the padlock rusts off and the table is free again.
Running your table
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Gang upgrades | Bigger drying rack, drying fans, a better grinder, a gang-only stash drawer (cash or bank) |
| Open the stash drawer | A private drawer only your gang can open (once bought) |
| Who used it | A log of who did what - including outsiders you let in |
| Take the padlock off (give it up) | Hand the table back to the public |
Letting outsiders in
- Outsiders only see Ask (gang) for access.
- Every online member gets a dark web message and a notification with a request number.
- Answer with
/tableok <number> <price>(price0= free) or refuse with/tableno <number>. - They get a Pay / No deal menu. If they pay, the cash goes to you and they can use the table for a while.
If no member is online, outsiders are simply locked out.
Defending it
- An outsider with a
Crowbar or
Drill can break your padlock.
- The moment they start, every online member gets "Someone is breaking the padlock on your weed table!" and a blip.
- It takes a while - long enough to get there if you're close. If it snaps, you lose the table and anyone can claim it. Police may get a break-in call too.
Turf and dealing
- Outsiders dealing on your turf are reported: a dark web message from streetwatch, a notification and a red blip on the dealer for a short time.
- Your own members get better prices on your turf and trigger no alert.
- If a claimed table stands inside a territory and another gang captures that territory, the table goes with it - padlock and all.
A table you never visit is a table you don't own. Keep someone near your tables, keep your gang online, and remember a break-in can bring the police - for both sides. What you do about an outsider on your corner is up to your roleplay.
Costs & rewards
- A padlock to claim, plus upgrade prices shown in the Gang upgrades menu.
- Cash from outsiders who pay for access, and better street prices on your own turf.
Common problems
- "Claim stopped" - you dropped below two members near the table.
- "A rival gang is at the weed table - claim stopped" - clear the area first.
- I missed the padlock window - the time to lock is short after the area is held. Start the claim again.
- Outsiders can't get in - no gang member is online to answer the request.
- The padlock rusted off - nobody used the table for days.
- "Police seized your weed table." - police seized it; it loses its owner and is sealed for hours.
Thanks! Staff will look at it.
