Getting hurt and respawning
Going down
When your health runs out you don't die straight away - you fall unconscious where you were hit. The death screen shows:
- Cause of death - for example Gunshot wound - chest, Fall or Vehicle crash.
- EMS on duty - how many medics are working right now.
- Respawn available in - a countdown. It is 1 minute when no medics are on duty and 5 minutes when there are.
You can still look around, talk on voice and use chat while you are down. Your radio is off.
You never go down in a paintball, arena, laser / bomb tag or Survival Games match. Those games have their own tags and respawns, and you lose nothing.
Call for help - [G]
Press G once to send an alert with your location to every medic on duty and to staff. If no medics are on duty, calling for help also lets you respawn sooner.
CPR
Anyone nearby can walk up to you and press E (Give CPR), then stay with you for 10 seconds (X stops). It buys you an extra minute before you are taken to hospital, so medics have more time to reach you. Each death can only get CPR once.
Respawning
When the timer ends, hold E to respawn. If you wait too long an ambulance is sent for you anyway.
An ambulance comes for you with lights and siren. Two paramedics run over, give you CPR, carry you to the back of the ambulance and drive you to the nearest hospital. If they can't drive close (water, a roof, far off-road) they come on foot. If they can't reach you at all you are simply taken to the hospital.
A respawn costs:
- a $500 hospital bill from your bank (if you have less, it takes what is there - your bank never goes below $0),
- all the cash you were carrying,
- all your items except your phone, ID and keys.
For a few minutes after a respawn you are hurt: you limp and can't sprint or jump.
Logging out while down
Leaving the game while unconscious doesn't get you out of it. Next time you play that character you are still down, with the time you had left.
Being revived
Medics (and staff) can bring you back where you are. A revive costs nothing - no bill, no lost items and no limp.
Thanks! Staff will look at it.
