Keybinds & Controls
Every default key on Night City RP in one place - menus, phone, inventory, vehicles, voice, jobs and more.
This page lists the default keys and the most useful chat commands. Almost every key can be changed to suit you.
Some actions have no default key at all - answering a phone call, opening the radio, the police panic button. Bind them yourself if you use them a lot.
Before you begin
Nothing - these work for every character. Job keys only work while you have that job.
Changing a key
- Press ESC and open Settings.
- Go to Key Bindings → FiveM.
- Find the action by name and set a new key.
- If a key does nothing, check you haven't bound two actions to the same key.
Items & inventory

| 1 - 5 | Use the item in quickbar slot 1-5 |
| Z | Show / hide the hotbar |
| G | Put down a dropped bag you are carrying |
On foot
| Key | What it does |

| E | Use the floating [E] prompts (shops, doors, jobs, bins, NPCs...) and lock / unlock doors you have the key for |
| H | Use a remote on a door that supports it |
| LEFT ALT | Third eye (hold and look at things with options) / tackle while sprinting |
| X | Hands up (also /hu) |
| U | Point |
| LEFT CTRL | Crouch / prone |
| K | Ragdoll on / off (not while cuffed, downed or in a vehicle) |
| CAPS LOCK | Parkour - hold for climbs and tricks - Parkour |
Voice & radio

| G | Engine on / off |
No seatbelt and a hard crash at speed can throw you through the windscreen. Buckle up with B.
Items with their own keys

Common problems
- A key does nothing - another action may share it. Check Key Bindings → FiveM for doubles.
- Ragdoll won't turn on - it is blocked while you're cuffed, downed or in a vehicle.
- I can't find "answer call" or "open radio" - they have no default key. Search for them in Key Bindings → FiveM and bind them.
- Third eye and radio are both on Left Alt - rebind one of them if that gets in your way.
