Night City Cinema
A two-screen cinema off Vinewood Blvd, by the old Doppler. Look for the film-reel pin on the map.
Going to the movies
- Walk up to the cinema door on Vinewood Blvd and press [E] Enter Night City Cinema.
- At the ticket desk in the lobby, press [E] Buy a ticket and pick a screen. A ticket costs $40 and is for one screen.
- Get snacks at the Concessions counter: popcorn, cola, soda, candy and chocolate.
- Walk into your screen's room, go up to a seat and press [E] Sit down. Press X to stand up.
- To leave, press [E] Leave the cinema at the front doors.
Tickets: you need a ticket for that screen to sit in its seats. The ticket is used up the first time you sit down during a show, and then you can stand up and sit down again for the rest of that show. If nothing is playing yet, you can sit down and your ticket is kept for later. When a new show starts, your ticket is checked again.
Sound: you only hear a film while you are inside that screen's room. Change your volume with /cinemavol 0-100. Your setting is saved.
Late? If you walk in halfway through, the film starts from where everyone else is.
Commands
/cinema status: what is showing on each screen./cinemavol <0-100>: your cinema volume.
Staff and cinema managers
Staff, players with the ncrp.cinema ace, and anyone with the cinema job can run the projector. Inside a screen room you can leave out the screen number.
/cinema play <screen> <link> [title]: start a show. The link must be https. It can be a YouTube link or a direct video file (.mp4/.webm)./cinema pause <screen>and/cinema resume <screen>/cinema seek <screen> <time>: jump to a time (90,1:30or1:02:30)./cinema stop <screen>
Only show content you have the rights to. Every play and stop is logged with who did it.
Some YouTube videos don't allow embedding, and those won't play. A show is cleared on its own after 4 hours.
Staff can move the street door in F9 → World Spawns (Night City Cinema). Everything inside follows the cinema building.
