Night City Chop Shop
A hidden garage in La Puerta where stolen and abandoned cars get stripped for parts. There is no map blip: you have to know where it is. The whole yard is a greenzone, so weapons stay holstered and nobody can fight there.
How it works
- Get a car that is not registered to anyone (a local's car, a stolen one). Player-owned cars, work vehicles, taxis and buses are refused.
- Drive it into the bay and press [E] Strip this car from the driver seat.
- Get out. Walk to each part and press [E]: four doors, the bonnet, the boot and four wheels. Each one takes 10-15 seconds and the part really comes off the car.
- Every part gives materials: steel, glass, plastic, rubber, aluminium, copper wire, circuit boards and sometimes an electronic kit.
- Once at least 4 parts are off, press [E] Crush the shell on the car. The shell is gone and the boss pays a cash bonus. The more parts you took and the better the car's class, the bigger the bonus.
The hot list
The yard boss has a list of 6 models every day. Talk to him ([E] Ask about the hot list). A car on the list pays double: double materials and a double crush bonus.
Cooldown
After a crushed car you have to lay low for 30 minutes. Walking away from a half-stripped car starts the cooldown too.
Risk
- Police may get a call about a car being stripped when you start.
- Without gloves you leave fingerprints on every part. Cutting leaves tool marks police can find.
- You cannot strip cars while on duty as police.
Staff
- Move or disable the bay (also the greenzone centre) and the yard boss in F9 -> World Spawns -> Chop shop.
