Houses
Houses around the city can be bought and owned. Your house has its own front door, a private interior, a stash for your things, a wardrobe and a bed. You can give keys to friends and fill the place with furniture.
Realty app
Open Realty on your phone.
- For sale: every house on the market with its price (fees included), area, interior and photos.
- Tap a house to see the full price, then Set GPS to drive to its front door.
- Preview interior: you get a private look inside for 2 minutes, then you come back where you were standing. Use the door inside to leave early. You can preview once every 5 minutes.
- Buy: sets the GPS to the house. You buy at the front door (see above).
- Home decorators: the city's decorators. Tap one to call or text them, or to see their blueprints.
- Furniture blueprints: ready-made furniture layouts made by decorators.
- My houses: your houses, and the decorators who can get in.
Home decorators
Decorators are players that staff have made decorators. To let one work on your house:
- Realty app, My houses, pick the house, then Invite a decorator.
- Pick the decorator and how many hours they may work (up to 24).
- They can now go in and decorate. They can't open your stash, wardrobe or bed, and they can't lock the door. Tap their name to take the access back early.
Decorators pay for the furniture they place, so agree on a price with them first.
For decorators#
- Your jobs are listed under My houses, My jobs, with GPS.
- Inside a house you may decorate, open the House menu at the door and pick Save layout as blueprint. Give it a name and a design fee.
- Owners buy your blueprints from the app. You get the design fee (minus 10% city tax) in your bank, even when you are offline.
- Change the fee, take a blueprint off sale or write your "About me" under My houses.
Furniture blueprints
A blueprint only fits houses with the same interior. Buying one:
- Pick a blueprint in the app (or from your house: Blueprints for this interior).
- Pick your house. You pay the design fee plus the normal price of every piece of furniture.
- All furniture in the house is replaced by the layout. Old furniture is not refunded.
Your front door
At the door, E gives you:
- Enter house
- Lock door / Unlock door. While it is unlocked, anyone can walk in.
- Give a key to the nearest person (owner, or a key holder with Manage house). Key holders can go in, lock the door, use the stash and decorate, unless you switch that off (see Key permissions).
- Manage keys (owner only): set each key holder's permissions or take a key back.
Visitors without a key can Ring doorbell (or type /ring). If someone is inside, they can open the door for you.
Inside
At the door inside, E gives you Leave house, the Door camera (see who is outside, Backspace to stop), Let the visitor in after someone rings, and the House menu.
From the House menu you choose where your stash, wardrobe and bed go. Stand where you want it and pick the option. Then:
- Stash: E opens your house storage. Only you and your key holders can open it.
- Wardrobe: change into your saved outfits.
- Bed: sleep to go back to the character menu. Next time you play this character, you start at your front door.
If you log off or lose connection while inside, you also come back at your front door.
Real estate agents
/createhouse [price] [tier]lists a new house at your spot. The tier picks the interior./addgarageadds a garage spot to the nearest house.- Agents can enter any house for viewings. Part of every sale goes to the real estate company account.
- In the Realty app, agents (and staff) can Add a photo to a listing with an https image link, or tap a photo to remove it (max 6).
Staff
/decorator [id]makes a player a home decorator, or stops them being one (the same command switches it).
Police
On-duty police can force a locked front door with a stormram (use it from the inventory at the door). Afterwards they can Secure the door to lock it again.
