Three Card Poker
A quick poker game against the dealer with three cards - Ante, Play, Pair Plus and the payout tables.
A fast poker game against the dealer. You and the dealer each get 3 cards. There are three bets:
- Ante - your main bet against the dealer.
- Pair Plus - a side bet that pays if your own 3 cards are a pair or better, whatever the dealer has.
- Play - if you like your hand after the deal, you add a Play bet equal to your Ante.
| Hand (best first) | Example |
|---|---|
| Straight flush | 5-6-7 all hearts |
| Three of a kind | Three Kings |
| Straight | 9-10-J of mixed suits |
| Flush | Three spades |
| Pair | Two 8s |
| High card | Nothing matching |
With three cards, a straight beats a flush.
Before you begin
Casino Chips from the chip cashier - see Casino.
- A free seat at a Three Card Poker table.
How it works
- Sit at a Three Card Poker table (E at the floating text).
- Put chips on Ante, Pair Plus, or both. Press Place bet, then Deal now.
- You get 3 cards face up (only you see them). The dealer gets 3 face down. Your hand name shows, like "Pair".
- Choose:
- Play - adds a bet equal to your Ante. The dealer's cards flip.
- Fold - you give up the Ante and Pair Plus.
- The result and payout show on your seat.
If you only bet Pair Plus (Ante 0), there's no Play / Fold choice - the hand settles straight away.
A common rule of thumb: Play with Queen-6-4 or better, fold anything worse.
Costs & rewards
The dealer needs Queen high or better to qualify.
| Situation | Ante | Play |
|---|---|---|
| Dealer doesn't qualify | Pays 1:1 | Returned |
| You beat the dealer | Pays 1:1 | Pays 1:1 |
| Dealer beats you | Lost | Lost |
Ante bonus - paid on your Ante when you Play with a strong hand, whatever the dealer has:
| Hand | Bonus |
|---|---|
| Straight flush | 5:1 |
| Three of a kind | 4:1 |
| Straight | 1:1 |
Pair Plus:
| Hand | Pays |
|---|---|
| Straight flush | 40:1 |
| Three of a kind | 30:1 |
| Straight | 6:1 |
| Flush | 3:1 |
| Pair | 1:1 |
Common problems
- You were folded automatically - you have about 20 seconds to choose Play or Fold.
- No Play button - you only bet Pair Plus, so the hand settles by itself.
- Can't afford Play - you need chips equal to your Ante left over. Keep some back when you bet.
- The deal won't start - it waits for everyone to press Deal now, or for the timer.
