Graffiti

Leave your mark on Night City. Spray your own tag on a wall or the ground and everyone who walks past sees it.

How to tag

  1. Get a Spray Can (any colour) or a gang can (its colour only).
  2. Use the can from your inventory, or type /graffiti.
  3. Type your tag (2-12 letters, numbers and . ! ? & $ # * - '), pick one of six designs (Throwie, Wildstyle, Drip, 3D Block, Script, Stencil), a colour and a size.
  4. Aim at a flat wall or floor. The outline turns green when the spot works. Scroll to make it bigger or smaller.
  5. Press E to spray. It takes about 9 seconds and uses up one can. Backspace cancels.

Rules

  • One tag every 20 seconds, and at most 50 tags up at once per character.
  • Tags fade and disappear after 7 days.
  • You can't tag right on top of your own tag. Spraying over someone else's tag crosses theirs out: yours replaces it.
  • Spraying is vandalism. Someone may call the police on you, and bare hands can leave fingerprints. Wear gloves.
  • If you are in a gang, your tag counts for your gang's turf.

Getting rid of tags

  • Use Bleach Cleaner next to a tag, or walk up to it and press [E] Scrub off the tag. It takes about 12 seconds and uses one bottle.
  • Police on duty can scrub tags without bleach.
  • Power-washing crews can clean them too.

Staff

  • /taginfo - who sprayed the nearest tag, when, and how many tags they have.
  • /tagclear [radius] - remove every tag around you (default 10 m, max 100 m).
  • /tagwipe <citizenid | server id> - remove all of one character's tags.
