Night City Carnival

A weekend event at Del Perro Pier. When the carnival is open you'll see a carnival icon on the map, and the pier fills up with game stalls, a food stand and ticket booths. Both rides run too.

Rides ($25 a ride)

  • Ferris wheel: press [E] at the wheel's ticket booth. You get the gondola at the bottom, and one full turn takes about 3 minutes. You're let off at the exit when the ride ends.
  • Roller coaster: press [E] at the coaster ticket booth to take a seat. The train leaves 20 seconds after the first rider sits down, or sooner when it's full. Come back on board when it pulls into the station.
  • /carnivalleave gets you off at any time (no refund).
  • You can't get hurt while you're on a ride.

Game stalls ($20 a game)

Press [E] at a stall, then press Start.

  • Ring Toss: a ring sight swings over 9 bottles. Press SPACE or click to throw. You get 3 rings. Ring 2 bottles for a prize, or all 3 for a big prize.
  • Duck Shoot: aim with the mouse and click to shoot. You get 10 shots in 20 seconds. Hit 6 ducks for a prize, or 9 for a big prize.
  • High Striker: watch the power needle and swing at the top. Reach 75 for a prize, or ring the bell at 95+ for a big prize.

Prizes are plushes. The arcade plushes are the usual prize, the duck plushes come from the Duck Shoot, and the rare ones are the big prizes. A stall gives you at most 10 prizes an hour. If your pockets are full, you get a little cash instead.

Food stall

Cotton candy, hot dogs, chili dogs and soda. Press [E] at the food stand, or use /carnivalfood.

Staff

  • /carnival on / /carnival off opens or closes the carnival. The state survives restarts. Closing it takes everyone off the rides.
  • /carnivalplace <spot> saves a spot where you're standing: wheelEntry, wheelExit, coasterEntry, coasterExit, ringtoss, ducks, striker, food. For stalls, stand where the player should stand and face the counter.
  • /carnivalplace wheelcenter | wheelheading <deg> | wheelradius <m> lines up the turning wheel with the real one.
  • Coaster track: the first-start track is a placeholder. Record the real rail with noclip: start at the station, run /carnivalplace track rec, fly along the rails (a point is saved every 3 m), get back to the station, then run /carnivalplace track stop. /carnivalplace track info shows the length and ride time, and track reset goes back to the placeholder.
  • /carnivalplace list / reset.
