Your First Job
Several jobs are open to everyone - no sign-up, no clock-in, just walk up and start. They are the best way to make your first money. When you want something steadier, get hired at a player-owned business (shops, clubs, gyms, pharmacies, mechanic shops and more) for a salary or commission set by the owner.

Getting hired at a business
- Find who is hiring: Phone (M) → Services → Hiring now, the website nightcityrp.com/apply, or a business's Job applications spot / office computer → Apply. A boss can also hire you on the spot.
- You hold one business job at a time; accepting a new one replaces it. The open jobs above don't count.
- Applying, the shift, salary and commission are explained in Employees & Hiring. Some businesses have their own job guide, for example Mechanic Job.
Costs & rewards
- Garbage routes: pay per bin plus a route bonus, straight to your bank.
- Mining, metal detecting, dumpster diving: you sell what you find, and each has its own skill level.
- Supply runs: the price the business posted, per unit.
- Business jobs: whatever the owner sets.
