Moonshine

Moonshine is alcohol, not a drug - but making it is only legal with a distilling permit. Jars made by someone carrying their own valid permit are marked Licensed. Everything else is Bootleg, and police treat it that way.

Every jar has a proof on the lid. The better your run, the stronger it is.

Before you begin

The moonshine Recipe Paper.
A Sack of Grain and Brewer's Yeast (farm store Supply Runs), sugar and Mason Jars (24/7 stores).
A copper still - hidden stills work like any drug station (see Drug Labs & Recipes).
For legal jars: your own Distilling Permit.

How it works

Press E at the still and pick the run.
Bring the mash up to heat, keep it from boiling over, and catch the good part at the end.
Drink it from your inventory, sell it, or keep it.

Drinking it gets you drunk like any strong spirit and shows on an EMS blood test. Very strong jars can make you black out for a while. Moonshine with lean or ketamine is a dangerous mix.

A running still smells. Police walking past can pick up the sour smell of hot mash, so pick your spot with that in mind.
