Marine Courier (jet ski)

Night City Marine Couriers deliver waterproof parcels along the coast by jet ski: to anchored yachts, piers and beach huts. Clean up floating litter on the way for bonus points.

How to start

Go to the Night City Marine Couriers pin at the Puerto Del Sol marina and press E on Marisol, the Dockmaster.
Pick Start shift. You put on your work clothes (they stay on until you clock out) and your own jet ski is waiting at the slips.
Want company? Pick Make a crew and invite people standing with you (up to 4). They press Y to join. Every crew member gets their own jet ski.

The run

Ride your jet ski to the loading dock (gold ring next to the slips) and press E - Load a dry bag. You get 3 parcels (4 with a Big Dry Bag, +1 more from level 8).
The first drop is on your GPS. Ride there, slow right down next to the customer and press E - Hand over the parcel.

Anchored yacht: the customer waits on deck.
Pier: the customer waits on the pier, stop in the water next to it.
Beach hut: the customer waits on the sand, stop in the shallows.

You get paid straight away, and the next drop shows on your GPS. When the bag is empty, ride back to the dock for more.

You must be driving a jet ski for every hand-over. Arriving impossibly fast does not count.

Floating litter

After every drop, 2-4 pieces of floating litter appear near the route to your next stop (green arrows over them when you are close). Ride straight over them to pick them up for bonus Marine Points and XP. With a Marine GPS in your pockets, litter shows on your map too.

Lost your jet ski?

Rescue Buoy (rewards shop): in the water, use /jetskibuoy or the Use Rescue Buoy button on the Operations board, and a fresh jet ski appears right where you are, with you on it. Once per shift.
Or come back to the marina and ask the dockmaster: I need a new jet ski (free).

Shift target and pay

Pay per parcel: $8 + the distance you rode for that leg (about $12-25 for a normal leg, up to $60 for the long ones). Your crew shares the pay (people who did nothing this shift get no cut).
Shift target: 12 parcels solo (+60% for every extra crew member). Everything past the target pays overtime x1.5.
Hit the target, bring the jet skis back to the marina and press Finish shift & get paid for a $250 completion bonus each.
A steady solo Deckhand makes about $900 an hour. Career tiers add up to +30%.

Tips

Long legs pay more per parcel, short legs give more parcels per hour - both work.
Always grab the litter on the way, it adds up fast.
Keep a Rescue Buoy in your pockets: wrecking far from the marina without one is a long swim.

/jetskiboard - open the Operations board while on shift (a key can be bound in Settings).
/jetskibuoy - use a Rescue Buoy.

Staff

/jetskiplace <dockmaster|dock|launch1..launch4> - move the dockmaster, the loading dock or a jet ski slip to where you stand (on a jet ski for the dock / slips).
/jetskiplaces - every place on your map for 2 minutes.
/jetskiadddrop <yacht|pier|hut> <label> - add a drop where you are (sit on a jet ski at the water point; for a beach hut face the beach). Then for a pier or hut stand where the customer should wait and type /jetskidropped.
/jetskidropoff - remove the nearest drop (within 80 m). /jetskidropreset - switch every built-in drop back on. /jetskidrops - every drop on your map for 2 minutes (green = staff-added).
/jetskilevel <id|citizenid> <level>, /jetskipoints <id|citizenid> <+/-n>, /jetskicrews, /jetskiendshift <crewId>.
/jetskioutfit save|reset <standard|rashvest|captain> - save what you are wearing as a work look.
F9 -> Jobs -> Civilian jobs -> Marine Courier: places, players, crews, outfits, points.
