Night City Lanes (bowling)
Ten-pin bowling for 1 to 6 players per lane, with an optional bet. Find Night City Lanes on the map.
Getting there
Night City Lanes has its own door on Innocence Blvd in Strawberry, a few doors along from the 24/7 (look for the
bowling icon on the map). Walk up to the door and press [E] > Enter Night City Lanes. Inside you will find six
lanes, a bar, a lounge and a shoe counter. To go back outside, use the door you came in by: [E] > Leave to the street.
You cannot leave while you are in a game: press [E] > Leave the game at your lane first.
Every lane has a screen above the foul line that shows its scorecard, so anyone in the alley can follow the game.
Scoring
Standard ten-pin rules: 10 frames, a strike (X) = all 10 with the first ball (10 + your next two balls),
a spare (/) = all 10 with two balls (10 + your next ball). In the 10th frame a strike or spare earns bonus balls.
The perfect game is 300.
The scorecard shows on the lane screen and at the bottom of your screen while you play. Everyone in the game sees it.
Bets
Every player stakes the same bet. The best score takes the whole pot; a tie splits it. Leaving a game that has
started gives up your stake. If you leave a lobby before the game starts, you get your bet and fee back.
A solo game has no bet (it is refunded when you start alone).
Commands
/bowlcard: show or hide the scorecard of the nearest lane (spectate a game)./bowltop: Night City Lanes high scores (best game per player). Also at the lane: [E] > High scores.
Tips
- The ball needs to hit the "pocket" (just beside the head pin) at a slight angle for the best strike chance.
A ball straight into the head pin often leaves a split.
- Too much hook at low power sends the ball into the gutter.
Staff
/bowlplace door: stand where the street door should be, facing the street, and run it (saved across restarts).
/bowlplace door reset puts it back at the default spot. The first-start door is a guess: check it in game.
/bowltp: teleport straight into the alley./bowlplace list: the lanes in use and the door./bowlreset <lane#>: closes the game on a lane and refunds the stakes (and fees for a lobby).- The six lanes come from the alley itself and cannot be moved. If the alley is ever switched off, the game falls back
to the old outdoor lanes (Elysian Island docks, no door). Only then do these work:/bowlplace <lane#> (stand on the foul line, face down the lane; the next number or add = a new lane, max 16),/bowlplace remove <lane#>, /bowlplace reset. Removing / resetting only works while no lane is in use.
Thanks! Staff will look at it.
