Dice and Street Dice

Rolling dice

Type /dice to roll one six-sided die. Everyone within 10 m sees the result above your head for 6 seconds, and it shows in their nearby chat.

  • /dice 2 rolls two six-sided dice.
  • /dice 3 20 rolls three 20-sided dice.
  • You can roll up to 5 dice with 2 to 20 sides each.

The server makes every roll, so nobody can fake one.

You can also use a pair of Dice from your inventory. A menu opens with quick rolls, a custom roll, and the street dice options. 24/7 Supermarkets sell dice.

Street dice (cee-lo)

A street game for 2 to 6 players. Everyone pays the same stake in cash, and the winner takes the whole pot.

Hosting (you need dice in your inventory):

  1. Type /streetdice (or use your dice and pick "Host street dice").
  2. Enter the stake ($10 to $5,000). Your stake is paid straight away.
  3. A "Street dice" label shows above your head. Players within 5 m type /sdjoin.
  4. Type /sdstart when at least 2 players have joined. The game also starts on its own when it is full, or after 90 seconds. If nobody joins by then, it is cancelled and you get your stake back.

Joining: stand within 5 m of the host and type /sdjoin. You pay the stake when you join. /sdleave gets it back, but only before the dice roll.

How it's scored. Each player throws 3 dice in turn. Best to worst:

ThrowExample
4-5-6the best throw
Trips6-6-6 beats 5-5-5
A pair + a point2-2-5 is "point 5". A higher point wins
1-2-3automatic loss

Any other throw is "no score", and you throw again. After 5 more tries without a score, you count as 0.

If players tie for the best throw, they roll off. After 5 roll-offs that are still tied, they split the pot.

Stay at the table. If you walk more than 15 m away, leave, or switch character while the dice are rolling, you forfeit your stake.

Staff

  • /dicecancel lists the running games.
  • /dicecancel <id> or /dicecancel all cancels a game and refunds every stake.
  • Every game is logged in the ncrp_dice_games table: host, stake, players, winners and result.
  • If the resource restarts, every stake still in a game is paid back.
