Cash and bank
Every character has two balances:
- Cash: the money you carry.
- Bank: the money in your account.
A new character starts with $500 cash and $5,000 in the bank. Both show on the character select screen.
Money is always whole dollars, and neither balance can go below $0. If you can't afford something, it simply doesn't go through. You can't run up a debt.
Your bank account number
Each character has its own bank account number, for example 4021-7735. Give this number to anyone who wants to pay you by transfer. Your citizen ID stays private.
Transfers
Bank transfers between characters are free. Money sent to someone who is offline is waiting in their bank the next time they play that character.
You'll send transfers from the bank and the phone banking app once those are in the city.
Money is recorded
Every change to your cash or bank is logged. Staff use the log to sort out lost money and catch exploits. Very large sudden gains are flagged to staff automatically.
