NCRP NIGHT CITY RP

Night City Wiki

Guides for every part of life in the city.

Civilian jobs (ncrp-jobkit)

Every civilian job in Night City (couriers, bus drivers, and the rest) works the same way, so once you know one you know them all.

For players

  • Find the job: gold job pins with a ring on the map (legend group "Jobs"). Walk up to the job's NPC and press E to talk.
  • Talk screen: the NPC speaks at the top, your choices sit on the right. Arrow keys / mouse / number keys pick, Esc says goodbye.

Start or finish your shift, make a crew, open the Operations board, the rewards shop, put on work clothes, check your career.

  • Shifts: the crew leader starts the shift. Some jobs give you a work vehicle - bring it back to the depot when you finish or you lose part of the bonus.

Every shift has a target: hit it and clock out for a completion bonus; everything past the target pays overtime.

  • Crews: up to 6 people (some jobs less). Invite people standing with you from the Crew tab; they press Y to join.

Pay is split between everyone who pulls their weight - standing around gets you nothing.

  • Work clothes go on by themselves when the shift starts and come off when it ends.
  • Bottom bar: [TAG] LVL (PTS) | crew | what to do next | shift progress | PAY while you are in a crew.
  • Career: 20 levels and 6 tiers per job. Each tier adds a permanent % to every paycheck. Points buy gear and outfit looks in the rewards shop.
  • Weekly contest: the top 3 of each job are paid every Sunday night.

For staff

Replace <key> with the job's key (e.g. courier):

  • /<key>place <npc or place> - move it to where you stand. /<key>places - show every place on your map for 2 minutes.
  • /<key>level <id or citizen id> <level>, /<key>points <id or citizen id> <+/- amount>
  • /<key>crews - list crews, /<key>endshift <crew id> - end a shift (vehicle removed, unpaid work lost)
  • /<key>outfit save <outfit> / /<key>outfit reset <outfit> - save what you wear as that work look (once per sex)
  • F9 → Jobs → Civilian jobs: pick a job, then places (ghost placer), players + levels, contest, live crews, work outfits, points.
  • F9 → World Spawns also lists every job NPC and place.

For developers

The kit is included into each job resource (@ncrp-jobkit/lib/...), the job's NUI loads nui://ncrp-jobkit/html/kit.css + kit.js.
Full API, config fields, hooks and the report format: C:\tools\ncrp-civjobs\KIT.md. Example job: C:\tools\ncrp-civjobs\example\ncrp-courier.
Data: ncrp_jobs_players (xp + stats per character per job), ncrp_jobs_settings (places, outfit looks per job), ncrp_jobs_contest, ncrp_jobs_pending, ncrp_jobs_log.
Other resources can ask exports['ncrp-jobkit']:OnShift(src) (-> true, job key) or exports['ncrp-<job>']:OnShift(src).
