Fuel & Charging
Every vehicle burns fuel while the engine runs. Gas stations are on the map; every pump works the same way.
- Walk up to a pump and press E on Use pump. The pump screen shows your car, the grades and prices.
- Pick a grade and whether you pay with cash or bank, then take the nozzle.
- Walk the hose to your car (any side) and press E on the car: Insert nozzle. Fuel flows and the screen counts litres and dollars live.
- It stops by itself when the tank is full or your money runs out - or press E on Stop fuelling. You only pay for what went in.
- Press E on the pump to Return nozzle. Walking further than the hose reaches puts it back by itself.
| Grade | Notes |
|---|---|
| Regular / Plus | Everyday fuel |
| Premium | Costs more, the car uses about 6% less fuel until the next fill |
| Diesel | Trucks, vans and work vehicles only - they can't take anything else |
| Charging | Electric cars plug in a charger at the same pumps and pay per kWh |
Stations owned by a gas station business set their own prices inside the city's limits.
Don't drive off with the nozzle in
The hose rips. Usually the pump breaks (fuel on the ground, out of order for about 10 minutes), now and then it explodes - with your car. An on-duty mechanic can repair a broken pump sooner and gets paid for it.
Jerry cans
The pump screen sells a jerry can and refills one you carry. Hold the can and press E on a car to Pour jerry can.
