Redeeming Purchases & Codes

How website purchases reach your character, and how to redeem transaction IDs and giveaway codes in ESC → Redeem.

Store & VIP4 min read

Everything sold on the website store at nightcityrp.com/store (Gem packs, VIP, battle pass premium and more) reaches you in one of two ways:

  1. Automatically - buy on the website, pick a character at checkout, and it's delivered to that character for you.
  2. By hand - paste your purchase's transaction ID into ESC → Redeem in game.

Staff giveaway codes are always redeemed by hand in ESC → Redeem.

Before you begin

  • A Discord account and a character linked to it (for website purchases).
  • A normal roleplay character - staff characters and the Beta Tester character can't redeem codes.

Buying on the website

  1. Go to nightcityrp.com/store and log in with Discord.
  2. Pick a tab: Packages (Gem packs, battle pass and more), VIP, or Gem shop (a look at what the in-game Gem store sells - those are bought in game with Gems).
  3. Add what you want to the cart.
  4. Under Send it to, pick one of your characters, or Someone else (gift) and type their citizen ID.
  5. Tick that you agree to the store terms and press Checkout.

Your purchase usually arrives within a minute, even if you're offline. You can watch it on My account on the website. When you're in the city you get a "Store purchase delivered: ..." notice.

Redeeming in game

  1. Press Esc and open Redeem.
  2. The window shows your VIP status, your citizen ID, a code box, What you can redeem and Your history.
  3. Paste your code into the box (Ctrl + V) and press Redeem.
  4. A green box shows what you got.

You can also redeem from the Gem store: press F4, click REDEEM at the top right and use the Redeem code tab.

Gifting a purchase

  1. Ask your friend for their citizen ID (they see it in their own ESC → Redeem window).
  2. In ESC → Redeem, paste the transaction ID, tick It's a gift and type their citizen ID.
  3. Press Redeem. You see "Sent to (name)!" and they get a notice saying who sent it.

When your pockets are full

Nothing is lost. If an item doesn't fit, or the character is offline, the reward waits. An orange Waiting to be delivered box appears in ESC → Redeem - make room and press Deliver. Waiting rewards are also retried every time you load that character.

Common problems

  • "That code has already been redeemed" - a purchase can only be redeemed once. If it was delivered automatically, it's already on your character.
  • "That code does not exist" / "has expired" / "has been used up" - check you copied the whole code. Giveaway codes can run out, and each one works once per character.
  • "Too many tries - wait a minute" - you typed too many wrong codes. Wait a minute and try again.
  • "...is new in the store and its in-game reward isn't set up yet" - your code is safe and still unused. Try again later or open a ticket.
  • The website can't find your character - join the city once with Discord open, then try again.
  • Anything else - open a ticket with your transaction ID.
