Night City Survival Games
Five games, one pot. Whoever is still standing at the end shares the prize. Nobody dies for real: when you are out you fall over, then watch from the spectator stand.
How to join
- Go to the recruiter at the airport (LSIA terminal, skull blip) and press [E] on him.
- Pick Join. The entry fee is taken straight away (cash first, then bank). Leave the queue at the recruiter or with
/sgleaveto get it back. - Open sessions start by themselves once 6 players are queued (60 second countdown). The five games then run in order with a short break between them.
- Hosted events: staff open an event with their own entry fee and can add a prize on top. Join the same way; the host starts it and picks the games.
Inside the arena you have no weapons and cannot be hurt. Your health, armour and position come back when you leave.
The Survival Games Arena
The games are played in the Survival Games Arena, a big indoor games hall. The recruiter takes you straight there (his menu says Venue: Survival Games Arena). Each session gets its own private copy of the hall, so nobody outside your session sees you.
- Spectator balcony along the west wall: everyone starts here, and players who are out (and staff watching) stay here. Jump down and you are put back up.
- The field: Red Light, Green Light. Start behind the white line by the south wall and cross the red line in front of the doll. Her head turns to face you on RED LIGHT. Guards stand along both sides.
- The pits (10 m deep, with a safety net at the bottom): the Glass Bridge (8 rows of 2 glass panels) and the Hex Floor (pink hex tiles). Land on the net and you are out.
- Musical chairs room: 16 chairs facing out round a dais, a white walk ring and a host on the podium. When the music stops, gold markers show which chairs are live this round. There are only 16 chairs, so with more than 16 players the first round cuts the field down to 16.
- Cookie room: 4 tables with a chair and a tin for each player. You sit at your place while you cut out the shape.
If the arena is closed for maintenance, the games are played on the open-air airfield arena instead (benches, cones and floating glass), with the same rules.
The games
- Red Light, Green Light: run to the finish line. When the doll turns around (RED LIGHT) stand completely still. Moving on red = out. Not across when time runs out = out.
- Cookie Cutter: pick a tin (circle, triangle, star or umbrella), then hold the left mouse button and trace the line slowly. Leave the line or rush and the cookie cracks. Too many cracks or out of time = out.
- Glass Bridge: two columns of glass panels. In each row one panel holds you and the other shatters. Fall = out. Not across in time = out.
- Round and Round: walk around the circle while the music plays. When it stops the chairs appear (in the arena: the live chairs get a gold marker): press [E] on a free chair. No seat = out. Rounds go on until half the players are left.
- Hex Game: a floor of tiles (two floors in the open-air arena). A tile drops a moment after someone steps on it. Keep moving. Fall through = out. Last one standing wins.
If a game ends with nobody left, the last players to go out stay in.
When only one player is left the games end at once and they take the whole pot. If several survive all five games, they split it.
Commands
/sgleave: leave the games or the queue. Leaving during a session gives up your entry fee.
Prizes
- The pot = every entry fee + the staff prize (hosted events). Paid into your bank.
Staff
/sghost: host panel. Open an event (entry fee + optional staff prize), start the session, pick the next game, end a game, eliminate a player, Watch (go in as a ghost spectator, press again to come back), Finish (pays the survivors) or Cancel (refunds everyone).- Staff can take over an open session from the panel by picking a game.
/sgplace lobby | origin | stand: move the recruiter, the open-air arena (stand on flat open ground; the games sit around it, about 90 m across) or its spectator stand to where you stand. The spots are saved. While the Survival Games Arena MLO (ncrp-squidarena-mlo) is running, originandstandare not used: every spot comes from itsSQUIDARENA.json.- The arena is picked when a session starts: MLO started = indoor arena, stopped = open-air arena. The server console prints which one each session uses.
- F9 → Teleports → Job & business MLOs → Survival Games Arena lands at the arena entrance (normal world; sessions run in their own instance).
- First-start spots are guesses: recruiter at the LSIA terminal, open-air arena on the airfield next to it (in its own instance, nobody outside sees it).
Thanks! Staff will look at it.
