NCRP NIGHT CITY RP

Hostage & Heist Rules

Hostage, robbery, and negotiation standards.

HOSTAGES#

  • Hostages: A hostage must be an independent participant taken through genuine roleplay. Friends or accomplices cannot pose as hostages to obtain benefits.
  • Response opportunity: Give a person a reasonable chance to respond before restraining or moving them.
  • Technical issues: Do not use a hostage's disconnect or technical issue to manufacture additional demands.
  • Demands: Demands must be achievable and proportionate. Do not require a player to break server rules or transfer real-world value.
  • Release: Release a hostage when the negotiated conditions have been met unless new, meaningful roleplay changes the situation.

ROBBERIES & HEISTS#

Build a scene around planning, interaction, and negotiation. Follow the activity's published police requirement, participant cap, cooldown, and equipment restrictions.

Do not cycle through robberies to bypass cooldowns, bring hidden backup, or use outside communications to coordinate an active scene. Do not target the same person repeatedly simply to farm their inventory.

NEGOTIATION & ESCALATION#

Allow clear communication and time for a reasonable response. Violence should follow the scene's circumstances rather than serve as the automatic opening move. A negotiated escape does not remove the possibility of a later investigation.

Management must confirm a table of limits for each enabled robbery. This draft does not assume which heist scripts are installed.
