NCRP NIGHT CITY RP

Gameplay Rules

Roleplay conduct, fair interaction, and active-scene expectations.

STAY IN CHARACTER#

Keep in-character conversations within the world of Night City. Handle technical issues, rules disputes, and staff discussions through the appropriate out-of-character channel.

METAGAMING#

Do not use information your character did not learn through roleplay. Streams, Discord messages, other characters, and out-of-game voice calls cannot provide your character with intelligence about an active scene.

POWERGAMING#

Do not force a result on another player or use mechanics to remove their reasonable opportunity to respond. Describe an attempted action instead of declaring what another character must think, feel, or suffer.

RANDOM DEATHMATCH & VEHICLE DEATHMATCH#

Violence needs a believable roleplay reason and appropriate interaction. Do not attack random players, use a vehicle as a casual weapon, or escalate a minor disagreement into lethal violence without meaningful justification.

VALUE OF LIFE#

Respond realistically to a credible threat. Being outnumbered, restrained, seriously injured, or held at gunpoint affects what your character can reasonably attempt.

SCENE INTEGRITY#

  • Scene exit: Do not disconnect, switch characters, hide in menus, or exploit interiors to escape an active scene.
  • Crash recovery: After a genuine crash, reconnect and make a reasonable effort to resume. Contact staff if reconnecting is impossible.
  • Manufactured conflict: Do not provoke police or another group solely to manufacture a fight.
  • Honest actions: Use emotes and action descriptions honestly. Do not claim powers or equipment your character does not possess.
  • Exploits: Do not use bugs or unintended mechanics to escape custody or gain access to restricted areas.

Resolve rules disagreements after the scene through a ticket. Retaliating for a suspected rule break can become a separate violation.
